Healthy Cappuccinos!
By Tone It Up onTuesday was National Cappuccino Day and today is Thirsty Thursday, so what better way to celebrate than with some tasty Cappuccino Recipes to warm you up? These are healthy Tone It Up Cappuccinos... so no need to feel guilty about these Fall Treats!
Sweet Maple Cappuccino
Ingredients:
- 2 shots Espresso or 4 oz. strong Coffee
- 2 tsp Organic Maple Syrup or 1/8 tsp. Maple Extract
- 4 oz. Skim or Almond Milk
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Stevia
- Mix all ingredients except espresso/coffee together.
- Heat spiced milk until warm but not boiling. An espresso machine is perfect for this, but if you don't have an espresso machine you can use can heat the milk on the stove or in the microwave and use a frother or just whip it in the blender.
- Pour Hot espresso into your coffee cup and pour foamed milk into it.
- Get creative if you want and make a design :)
- Not only does skim/almond milk help you cut out the fat, but it actually foams better than whole milk or cream!
Almond Biscotti Cappuccino
Ingredients:
- 2 shots Espresso or 4 oz. strong Coffee
- 4 oz. Skim or Almond Milk
- 1/4 tsp. Almond Extract
- 1/8 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 1 tsp. Stevia
- Mix all ingredients except espresso/coffee together.
- Heat spiced milk until warm but not boiling. An espresso machine is perfect for this, but if you don't have an espresso machine you can use can heat the milk on the stove or in the microwave and use a frother or just whip it in the blender.
- Pour Hot espresso into your coffee cup and pour foamed milk into it. If you froth the milk correctly it should be about twice the volume as when you started.
