Red Velvet Protein PancakesBy Tone It Up on
Vegan Substitute Included
1 1/2 scoops Tone It Up Chocolate Protein
2 tbsp. sweetener of choice (i.e. monkfruit sweetener)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 medium ripe banana, mashed
3/4 cup plant-based milk (add more for desired consistency as needed) we recommend coconut milk
½ tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup egg white (Vegan Substitute: 1/4 cup applesauce)
1/2 tsp. cacao powder
1/2 cup beets - for color (purée them to make them the right consistency)
Cream cheese yogurt:
1/2 cup vegan cream cheese
1/4 cup plain vegan yogurt
1 tsp Vanilla extract
3 tbsp of lemon juice
1-2 tsp of maple syrup
Mash banana with almond milk before stirring in remaining ingredients.
Stir in remaining ingredients and add more plant based-milk as needed to reach desired consistency.
- Spray pan with coconut oil spray and heat over a medium-low heat before pouring in batter. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side. The key is to cook them low & slow!
Serve Immediately with your desired toppings - we added the below cream cheese yogurt!

Meanwhile, mix together the cream cheese, yogurt, lemon, maple and vanilla until well incorporate and transfer to a piping bag.
