Sit At A Desk All Day? Do These 5 Workouts!
Did you sit all day?! We're with ya! Guess what...Kat and I have desk jobs, too! It sometimes looks like we work out 24/7 - we wish! 😜 We actually sit at our computers for about 10-12 hours a day, sometimes more around challenges. We don't run all day, because we're running a company of 25+ and a community of 1 million amazing women! So at the end of the day, we gotta get off our tushes too! We totally get it girl. 💪👜👯 That's why the Tone It Up Booty Call is so important!
Since our abs and lower back get weakened from sitting for long periods of time, the key is to strengthen these muscle groups.
We've got ya covered with these five moves! Do 10 reps of each and repeat the entire routine two to three times. They'll keep your body feelin' good and your abs and lower back strong and sexy! 💪 Ask a co-worker to join you!
Deadlift and Upright Row
Begin standing with feet hip-width apart while holding a dumbbell in each hand. Have a slight bend in your knees. Maintain a neutral curve in your lower back as you hinge from the hips and track the dumbbell past your shins. Return to standing position and slowly pull dumbbells up by your chest with elbows out to the side. That's one rep.
Side Lunge and Ab Twist
Stand with legs further than shoulder-width apart and toes pointed forward. Bend and lean into your left leg, making sure your knee doesn't go past your toes. Push off your left foot to a standing position and lift your left knee to right elbow. Land softly back into the side lunge.
Plank Hip Dips
Begin in a plank position with elbows directly below shoulders. Make sure your hips don't drop or arch too high. Your back should be in a straight line. Tilt your hips toward the left side so that you almost touch the ground. Repeat on the right and continue alternating sides.
Bent Leg Half Superman
Begin laying on your stomach with legs bent and arms in front of you. Use your booty to lift your knees off the ground as high as you can go. Return to start.
Rock the Boat
Begin seated in a boat-pose position with a dumbbell held between both hands in front of your chest. Twist upper body and weight to the right while keeping legs centered. Then twist to the left.
