Karena Dawn is the co-founder of Tone It Up, founded in 2009, and the host of the Tone It Down podcast. She’s also a mental health advocate through her nonprofit, The Big Silence, and a New York Times bestselling author. Over the years, Karena has inspired millions of women to move their bodies, care for their minds, and feel supported every step of the way.
She’s a proud Pom mom of seven and lives in Austin, Texas with her husband Bobby. Karena co-founded Tone It Up 16 years ago and continues her mission to help women feel their best, inside and out.

Chyna is one of our OG Tone It Up trainers — an athlete at heart whose love for sports grew into a lifelong connection to movement. Over the years, her “why” has shifted from performance and aesthetics to feeling strong, present, and deeply grateful in her own skin. Now a mom and a wife, her approach is more grounded than ever, showing up to feel powerful and supported through every season of womanhood — and she’ll help you do the same. In her workouts, you’ll move with intention and intensity, training through HIIT, plyometrics, athletic conditioning, and sculpting that leaves you feeling unstoppable. Chyna brings real conversations, unfiltered moments, and a down-to-earth energy that makes every session feel honest, empowering, and so TIU.
STEF
Stef is one of our OG TIU girls — a former pro-hooper turned strength and conditioning coach who brings power, confidence, and so much joy to every workout. Born and raised in Manhattan Beach (the original TIU HQ!), she grew up surfing, running the shoreline, and living that sun-sand-sweat lifestyle she still embodies today as a marathon runner and lifeguard. Stef loves helping women feel strong, capable, and excited to push their limits with smart, athletic training that builds real confidence from the inside out. TORI
The TIU community has loved Tori for years. She is a barre, Pilates, and stretch & tone lover, plus a mama of two (pregnant with her third!) who has always moved from a place of heart. What began as teaching and filming workouts grew into a deeper purpose through motherhood: helping women feel strong, graceful, and at home in their bodies in every season of life. Her classes blend sculpting, flowing, and lengthening in a way that feels grounding, effective, and totally doable, and she brings that warm, honest, “we’re in this together” energy every time she shows up. TIU has always felt like home for Tori, and she’s so excited to be back moving with you.
