Get excited, girl, because we’re bringing you our best program yet!! We’re starting out the New Year ready to get strong and sculpted thanks to our four-week Refresh & Reset program! The next month is all about building a powerful mind and body, thanks to a mix of workouts including strength training, HIIT, yoga, mobility, and meditations!
Each week, the workouts get tougher as you get stronger! Because of the progressiveness of the program, you’ll stay challenged, motivated, and excited for the next workout! And of course, as your TIU trainers, we bring enthusiasm and uplifting energy too, so you feel confident in your capabilities and ready to take on each new challenge!
We start this program out strong, but conservative! You’ll ease into the intensity with bodyweight, dumbbell, and hip band workouts that lay the foundation for your month of fitness ahead! Within the week, you’ll mix total-body, upper-body, and lower-body strength workouts, as well as yoga sculpting routines! You also have a foam rolling and stretching routine for recovery, and a meditation (which you’ll see on each week of the plan!) to get your mind in the game and build that confidence!
Week two and three elevate the challenge of each workout by moving faster, adding in heavier weights, doing more combination exercises, or increasing the work periods (and decreasing the rest breaks)! You’ll add in HIIT routines and a mobility session to keep your program well-rounded and your energy on blast!
The final week means business! It’s time to grab heavier weights, take your intensity to the next level, and push through each advanced exercise! You’ll still get a mix of muscle-group focused workouts, plus interval sessions that mix in plyometrics, along with a power yoga flow to tap into your inner warrior!
Throughout the entire plan, you’ll also see quick workout boosters which elevate your routine for the day, giving you an extra burn! Feel free to add these in whenever you want something a little more for your day!!
Three of your favorite TIU trainers take you through this Refresh & Reset program, leaving you feeling inspired and ready to reveal your best self by the end! Even if your motivation feels low at first, they will get you excited to move and groove right through week four!
Chevy: Call her your inspiration leader! Chevy always has the most uplifting words of encouragement that will make you feel like a badass woman! Allegra: You know you’ll work your booty and legs when it comes to Allegra’s workouts, but she also serves up an upper body routine that mixes in boxing moves, along with ab workouts that seriously sculpt and strengthen the core! Follow her cues and hit each rep, because it’s worth it!!

Once you wrap up four weeks of the Refresh & Reset program, you should feel strong, empowered, confident, and toned all over! The progressive approach is meant to test your limits and keep you from getting bored or your routines from getting stale! The variety ups the fun factor too—along with your amazing trainers!
Do each workout at the level that works for you—lifting weights that are challenging but doable, and taking any modifications you need throughout the program! But don’t be afraid to push it (while hitting each workout with precision!). The goal is to stay present through each move and really kick it into high gear by that last week!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, girl—the time to slip into your favorite leggings and tank and join us for your fall challenge!! This year, we’re bringing you the Power Up program, which lasts four weeks and elevates your fitness with a mix of strength, stretching, and cardio-revving routines!
We’re so excited to bring you this month-long schedule of workouts that builds your strength and power and helps you tone all over! In addition to working your body, we also tap into your mental state with mindful stretching and yoga sessions, along with meditations! It’s one well-rounded program that will make you feel empowered, proud, and capable!
Throughout the next four weeks, you’ll tackle a workout every day—that means 28 days of workouts! With a mix of total-body strength sessions and those targeted at specific muscle groups, along with soothing yoga and stretch sequences, every one of those workouts will fly by and leave you feeling AMAZING!
Every week, expect a total-body, upper-body, core, and legs-and-booty workout, all of which will build your strength, cardio fitness, and power! You’ll also do both a yoga flow and stretching session every week. These flexibility and mobility classes help you focus on an aspect of fitness we tend to neglect: simply moving better! We also pair a guided meditation with one of your mind-body-based classes to bring an extra focus to your headspace, helping you stay present and tap into your inner peace and self-love.
Throughout the program, we’ve added 5- to 10-minute boosters to elevate your fitness and ignite your strength even more! While we’ve plotted these on specific days, feel free to add them in whenever you need a little extra burn!

Omega-3 fatty acids help to support blood sugar control, which reduces cortisol levels. You can find these omegas in Pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, hemp seeds, flax seeds, or ground flax meal.
Adaptogens such as reishi mushrooms and ashwagandha help minimize damage from free radicals and reduce high cortisol levels.
Spinach is super high in magnesium, as well as potassium, folate, fiber, iron, and vitamins A, C, plus K!
Bananas include magnesium, potassium, and soluble fiber to help lower inflammation. They're also loaded with vitamins like A, B-6, and C.
Nuts, especially walnuts and almonds, balance blood sugar and cortisol levels. Plus their healthy fats will keep you fueled!

Alright girls let's huddle...it's almost game day! 🏈 Who are you rooting for on Sunday? Or are you just in it for the snacks?! No shame in that game 😉
We want you to feel amazing + enjoy yourself at any festivities you have planned, so we're sharing some of our favorite Tone It Up approved snacks, sides, and more!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup vegan mozzarella (if desired)Instructions:
Lay out the tortillas, and in each of them place a layer of mozzarella (if using), basil pesto, artichoke hearts, shredded chicken and sliced avocado.
Sprinkle it with italian seasoning and place basil and arugula on top, if desired.
Preheat a skillet or grill pan on medium high heat
Fold the sides of the wrap and roll it up. Brush both sides with any oil of your choice.
Grill the wraps for about 4-6 minutes on each side or until golden.
Serve warm and enjoy!
Ingredients:
½ cup of natural nut butter
½ cup of dark chocolate chips
1 tbsp of coconut oil
1 Half Bag of popped popcorn
Instructions:
Ingredients:
1 sweet potato
1 purple sweet potato
4 rainbow carrots
1 yukon potato
2 tbsp Avocado Oil
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Instructions:
Scrub all vegetable clean and thinly slice them into circles
Pat them dry
Place vegetable slices in a bowl and drizzle avocado oil to lightly coat them
Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder and mix to coat each slice
Layer the slices in the air fryer basket in one layer
Place in air fryer on 320 degrees for 20-25 minutes
Repeat with the remaining slices and enjoy!
Serves 1- we recommend making 4-5 servings!

¼ cup zucchini, chopped
¼ cup cilantro, chopped
½ cup black beans
½ jalapeno, diced
2 tbsp fresh corn
4 cups your fave leafy green (we love kale, spinach, and arugula!)
¼ cup salsa
2 tbsp guacamole
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a bowl except for the salsa and guacamole, toss to combine.
2. Top with salsa and guacamole.

1 15.5 oz can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 Tbsp avocado oil
2 tsp maple syrup
1 ½ tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chipotle powder
¾ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp sea salt
¼ tsp ground black pepper
Directions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together the chickpeas, avocado oil, maple syrup and other seasonings so all of the chickpeas are covered.
2. Set the air fryer timer for 6 minutes, at 375 degrees F. After 6 minutes, shake the basket to ensure all sides are crispy, then add another 6 minutes.
3. Transfer to a bowl to cool fully so the seasoning can dry.
You can season the chickpeas in many different fun ways. Our go faves are

Korean BBQ Seasoning
Ingredients:
2 ripe avocados
¼ cup tahini
2 garlic cloves
¼ cup Fresh Lemon or Lime Juice
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ cup fresh cilantro leaves
Dash of sea salt to taste, optional
Directions:
Place all ingredients into the food processor
Start the blender at its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Process until completely smooth. Ad water as needed
Serve with sliced raw seasonal vegetables.

8 hard-boiled eggs
½ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
2 tsp Dijon mustard
¼ teaspoon smoked paprika, optional
A pinch of cayenne pepper
Sea salt and pepper, to taste
Directions:
1. Cut each egg in half lengthwise. Remove the yolks into food processor

I'm Sara, I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and a new mom living in sunny Los Angeles! A few things about me personally:
Although it can definitely be challenging, I’m loving this new journey of motherhood that I am on and can't wait to watch my little one grow. I absolutely love dogs and have a 12 year old rescue named Riley. On weekends you will probably find me walking to new local coffee shops or on the beach in Santa Monica. Professionally, I work with women from all stages of life on improving their relationship to food and their bodies. I also focus heavily on pre and postnatal nutrition. It is so important to nourish yourself during the special time of pregnancy, lactation, and those first few months postpartum. I help women feel better and lessen food anxiety before, during and after their pregnancy.
Approach to nutrition:
I empower women to improve their overall nutrition knowledge, confidence, and relationship to food and their bodies. My goal is to provide nutrition information in a simple and relatable way without feeling overwhelming. Nutrition can be simple! I pride myself on creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel invited to share and are open to learning. It is my goal to make nutrition less complicated and provide women with tools to find food freedom and balance in their health for a lifetime.
Fave Nutrition Hack:
My favorite nutrition hack is habit anchoring. For example, if you're trying to drink more water you can anchor that new habit to something you already do- like making coffee. So while you're going through your coffee making steps in the morning, aim to drink at least an 8 oz glass of water to anchor that new habit into your daily routine.
Fave TIU Product:
My favorite TIU product is the vanilla protein powder. I love that it's plant-based and organic and is so versatile! It's also the best tasting protein powder I've tried and I've tried many!! I also really like the protein bars - great for throwing in my purse or diaper bag when I’m on the go.

I have been a Tone It Up fan for many years! I would say I am an OG :) In fact, finding Tone It Up was one of the reasons I decided to go back to school to get my masters in nutrition. I love how the brand really focuses on balance. It feels realistic and attainable.

One of my nutrition philosophies is that nutrition is not one-size-fits-all. It’s so important to learn about your own body and learn what works well and what doesn’t work well for your own health. There are so many ways to label your diet today, yet it’s important to make your own food rules and leave margin to make custom dietary adjustments that work best for your own health. Whichever dietary path you find works best for you, one nutrition theme to be backed with scientific evidence for optimal health and longevity is the benefit of consuming mostly real, whole foods with an emphasis on plant-based foods such as lots of fruits and vegetables!
Nutrition Hack:
When chopping garlic, let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes before cooking. This allows the compound in garlic known as allicin, to fully develop before it comes in contact with heat. Allicin has so many wonderful benefits for our health such as having antioxidant, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties and supporting blood pressure and heart health. I also love to keep my celery (washed then chopped) in a glass jar of filtered water in the fridge. This prevents my celery from wilting! I love to add celery to my morning smoothie for a boost of fiber.

I like to call myself a “realistic holistic”. I know that life gets in the way and that it’s impossible to be “perfect” all the time. I believe in the 80/20 rule where 80% of the time you’re eating an anti-inflammatory diet and sticking to your health goals and the other 20% of the time you’re busy living life and eating fun foods. It’s important to feed the body good quality, whole foods but it’s also important to feed the soul and sometimes that looks like a glass of wine or a big piece of cake!
A common myth about nutrition:
Oh, this one is easy – “eat less, workout more”. Please, do not do this! Most of the time the women I work with aren’t eating enough and yet they’re spending hours in the gym. This is contributing to chronic stress and chronic stress leads to nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalances and doesn’t get you anywhere near your end goal.

This is a hard question (they’re all so good!) but I’m going to have to go with the Hot Cocoa Collagen + Adaptogeninc Mushroom one. As you age, the body starts producing less collagen so I’m constantly talking to my clients about the importance of getting it through food. I’m also a big mushroom fan and this product tastes delicious so it’s a no-brainer for me!

]]>Low-impact cardio + total-body toning = this amazing workout from Amber! You'll be moving basically the entire 25+ minutes, which gets your heart rate up and those muscles working overtime!
All you'll need for this workout are some dumb bells that are 3 lbs or lighter. You can also use wrist weights if you prefer.

Tone It Up Pumpkin Pancake
Ingredients
1 scoop Tone It Up Protein
1 Tbsp. pumpkin puree
½ banana, mashed
½ Tbsp. unsweetened almond milk
¼ cup egg whites
½ tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
Coconut oil spray
Real maple syrup or honey (optional)
Directions
Completely mash banana with almond milk. Gradually stir in the remaining ingredients.
Spray your skillet with cooking spray and turn to medium-low heat. Slowly and evenly pour the batter into the pan. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes on one side.
Using a spatula, carefully lift the edge and take a peek. If the underside of your pancake is golden brown, it’s ready to flip. Carefully flip your pancake and cook for another 3 minutes on the other side until both sides are golden brown and the pancake is cooked through.
Remove from heat and top with additional ingredients if desired. Drizzle with real maple syrup or honey and serve!
Pumpkin Pie Parfait
Ingredients
2 scoops vanilla Tone It Up Protein
1 frozen banana, sliced
4 ice cubes
2 Tbsp. pumpkin purée
1 cup almond milk (add more if needed while blending)
Pinch of pumpkin pie spice
Cinnamon to taste
1 spoonful unsweetened applesauce (optional)
Almond or Greek yogurt
2 tsp. chia seeds
Directions
Combine all ingredients except yogurt in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
Split smoothie into two glasses and layer with yogurt. Top with chia seeds. Enjoy!

2-4 tbsp. Vegan pumpkin spiced latte creamer
1-2 espresso shots or ½ cup of hot brewed coffee
Cinnamon powder

Add the espresso in a cup over ice or if drinking hot place in mug

1 cup orange juice
1 frozen banana

Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender, and blend until the smoothie is nice and creamy, about 30-45 seconds.

]]>It’s time for a fresh new four-week workout program for our fall challenge, ladies! And I have the perfect type of training on deck: Pilates! Pilates is all about helping you move better, feel stronger, and create that glow that comes from a healthy and happy you!
I’m SO excited to bring you this month-long program, with workouts created and led by yours truly. You have 30 workouts to tackle in 4 weeks and I know you can do it! As a certified Pilates instructor and TIU trainer, I can’t wait to take you through each of these routines—and get you to the finish line of the fall challenge feeling strong, sculpted, and glowing!

Over four weeks, you’ll perform 30 Pilates workouts! That might sound like a lot, but it’s a perfect blend of longer sessions that target your entire body, challenging classes that kick up your cardio, and shorter sessions that focus on specific body parts.
Each week, you’ll tackle two cardio-focused routines, two full-body workouts, and then a mix of those muscle-specific sequences. No matter what type of workout you do, you’ll always perform traditional Pilates exercises, along with a creative mix of moves that challenge you and work your muscles in new ways. (Seriously, you’ll feel sore in places you didn’t even know you could target! And you’ll love it!)
Throughout the program, as you hit big muscle groups, along with smaller stabilizers, you’ll gain strength, balance, better posture, and tone! And of course, because it’s Pilates, you’ll get next-level core work!
The best part about the program: You can easily tailor it to your schedule. While you’ll find a workout for every day of the week, if you don’t have time one day, you can easily stack those shorter sessions onto days when you do have more time to squeeze in a sweat! It’s all about doing what works for you and makes you feel your BEST!
The goal for the challenge: hit those 30 workouts in 4 weeks, but do it in a way that works for you, girl!!
With more than 700 hours of teaching and training in Pilates, I know how to help you nail your form and conquer each of these workouts with enthusiasm! I’m also the founder of Spiced Pilates and a former NBA dancer who infuses cardio and dance into my rhythm-based Pilates workouts. It’s such a fun combination, and I hope it means you’ll enjoy every single sweat we share!
Know that I’ll offer form tips and motivation throughout each workout, and through each week of the program, so you stay excited to keep working through that burn! We’ve got pulses, reps, and jumps to tackle, and I’m ready to be your coach through every single step!
At the end of this four-week Pilates Sculpt + Glow program and your TIU fall challenge, we want you to feel your absolute best! All the work you put into each routine will pay off in strength, both physically and mentally, so you glow from the inside out!
Pilates not only challenges your body, but it also encourages a present mindset that helps you focus and work through each pose! So pay attention to your breathing—and engage that core—through every single move! When you can, try to work a little faster during your cardio sessions, move a little slower during strength routines, and don’t give up on yourself through those super challenging moments!
